2018 KICK-OFF INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM
In 2018, Kansai University IIGE hosted its kick-off international symposium, titled "INNOVATIVE IDEAS AND PRACTICES
FOR GLOBAL EDUCATION IN THE 21ST CENTURY," on explorations of issues relating to the further development and growing visibility of COIL initiatives in light of the newly established IIGE. In this respect, themes of interest may include the management and development of COIL related activities with growing institutional and community awareness, how to manage formal institutional and national level collaborations (e.g., Japan and the United States), reviews of initiatives and project status, showcasing COIL pedagogy and practices, explorations of new technology and apps development, and pragmatics of administrative and logistics issues such as partner matching and facilitation.
